NAB Inaugurates New Sub-Office in Gwadar, Aims to Boost Regional Development

Quetta, The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) inaugurated its new sub-office in Gwadar in a move to enhance economic activities and tackle developmental delays in the strategically important region. The ceremony was attended by high-ranking officials, including the DG NAB Balochistan, local authorities, and members of the business and academic communities.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the inauguration was marked by speeches that highlighted the critical need for speeding up Gwadar’s development. The Chairman of NAB expressed concerns over the slow progress in the area despite its significant economic potential. He assured that NAB would collaborate closely with other government departments and the local business community to foster business and economic growth.

The establishment of the NAB sub-office in Gwadar is seen as a strategic step to enforce transparency and accountability, especially in economic transactions. The Chairman emphasized the vital role of the youth in maintaining these values within the community. Furthermore, NAB officials were directed to engage respectfully with the public and address their grievances effectively.

During the event, the challenges faced by the business community, including obstacles to industrialization and business operations in Gwadar, were discussed. Representatives from various commerce and trade associations shared their concerns, which the NAB Chairman promised to address in cooperation with relevant regulatory bodies to facilitate and enhance economic activities in the region.
