Islamabad, June 30, 2022 (PPI-OT):The National Assembly Standing Committee on States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) met today at 01:45 p.m. in Committee Room No. 2, Parliament House, and Islamabad for the Election of the Chairman of the Standing Committee.
2. The meeting commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran. Mr. Murtaza Javed Abbasi, MNA/Chief Whip welcomed the members and briefed them about the procedure for the election of the Chairperson.
3. Mr. Ibadullah Shah, MNA proposed the name of Mr. Muhammad Jamal Ud Din, MNA as Chairman of the Standing Committee on States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) while Ms. Nuzhat Pathan, MNA seconded the proposal. Since there was no other candidate for contesting election of the Chairman, consequently, Mr. Muhammad Jamal Ud Din, MNA was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Standing Committee on States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON).
4. The meeting was attended by MNAs: Mr. Ibadullah Shah, Mr. Muhammad Afzal Khokhar, Mr. Sajid Hussain Turi, Mr. Naveed Aamir Jeeva, Mr. Afreen Khan, and Ms. Nuzhat Pathan.
