Islamabad, June 30, 2022 (PPI-OT):The National Assembly Standing Committee on Industries and Production met today at 12:45 p.m. in Committee Room No. 2, Parliament House, and Islamabad for Election of the Chairman of the Standing Committee.

2. The meeting commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran. Mr. Murtaza Javed Abbasi, MNA/Chief Whip welcomed the members and briefed them about the procedure for the election of the Chairperson.

3. Syed Imran Ali Shah, MNA proposed the name of Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, MNA as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Industries and Production while Mr. Usama Qadri, MNA seconded the proposal. Since there was no other candidate for contesting the election of the Chairman, consequently, Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, MNA was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Industries and Production.

4. The meeting was attended by MNAs: Mr. Ali Gohar Khan, Syed Imran Ahmad Shah, Ms. Kiran Imran Dar, Mahar Irshad Ahmad Khan and Mr. Usama Qadri.
