NA Standing Committee on House and Library meets 

Islamabad, September 21, 2022 (PPI-OT):Deputy Speaker National Assembly Zahid Akram Durrani has said that ensuring transparency in spending public money is key to development in the country. He also said that being public representatives it is incumbent upon them to take public issues on board. He also expressed displeasure over corrupt practices in the affairs of National Assembly Employees Cooperative Housing society (NAECHS). He expressed these views while chairing the meeting of the Standing Committee on House and Library of the National Assembly in Parliament House today.

The committee unanimously recommended for accelerating the matter of NAECHS and the committee unanimously decided to look deep into affairs of NAECHS so that the grievances of members of NAECHS can be addressed at the earliest. The committee members also unanimously recommended f strict action against management of NAECHS and District Administration officers/officials involved in mismanaging the matters in NAECHS. The committee resolved to solve these matters of NAECHS to save the members from the corrupt practices.

The committee also expressed displeasure over the performance of CDA staff in parliament lodges and instructed CDA to ensure transparency in using public money. The committee directed CDA to ensure the best services in Parliament lodges especially cleanliness in Parliament lodges.

The Standing committee meeting was attended by MNA MS. Aliya Kamran, Ms. Mussarat Rafique, Ms. Nasiba Channa and Senior officers of District administration Islamabad and CDA.
