Islamabad, June 30, 2022 (PPI-OT):The National Assembly Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Division met today at 12:30 p.m. in Committee Room No. 2, Parliament House, and Islamabad for the Election of the Chairman of the Standing Committee.

2. The meeting commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran. Mr. Murtaza Javed Abbasi, MNA/Chief Whip welcomed the members and briefed them about the procedure for the election of the Chairperson.

3. Mr. Ali Zahid, MNA proposed the name of Mian Najeeb Ud Din Awesi, MNA as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Division while Mr. Salahuddin, MNA seconded the proposal. Since there was no other candidate for contesting the election of the Chairman, consequently, Mian Najeeb Ud Din Awesi, MNA was unanimously elected as Chairman of the Standing Committee on Economic Affairs Division.

4. The meeting was attended by MNAs: Mr. Ali Zahid, Ms. Shahida Akhtar Ali, Mr. Salahuddin and Ms. Shahnaz Naseer Baloch.
