NA Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Discusses Human Rights and Climate Issues with Belarus President

Islamabad: During a significant meeting in Minsk, Belarus, Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) Sardar Ayaz Sadiq discussed pressing global issues including human rights violations in Kashmir and Palestine, and the impact of climate change, emphasizing the urgent need for international attention and cooperation.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Speaker Sadiq highlighted the severe human rights situations in Kashmir and Palestine as critical challenges to the conscience of the modern world, calling for a resolution in Kashmir in line with United Nations Security Council resolutions and an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. He also pointed out Pakistan’s minimal contribution to but significant suffering from climate change, stressing the need for global efforts to address the environmental crisis.

The discussions also covered the strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and Belarus, with both Sadiq and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko expressing a desire to further strengthen ties through economic, industrial, and agricultural collaborations. The meeting, part of an official visit by a Pakistani parliamentary delegation to Belarus, also touched on enhancing trade and parliamentary relations, with both leaders acknowledging the mutual benefits of a strengthened partnership.
