Islamabad, Today, Honourable Speaker National Assembly of Pakistan, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, chaired a meeting with Chief and Party Whips to discuss the upcoming Budget Session and other parliamentary affairs.
According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the meeting covered proposals for forming Standing and Finance Committees and deliberated on the allocation of time for motions thanking the President’s address. The discussions also set the schedule for the Budget Session for the Fiscal Year 2024-2025, which is set to start on June 6, 2024.
It was unanimously decided that the current National Assembly session, which commenced today, would extend until May 17, 2024. Furthermore, the meeting participants, including Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah and various Members of the National Assembly, also agreed on the timing for speeches concerning the Presidential address motion of thanks.
