Muzaffarabad Seminar on Kashmir Calls for Global Involvement in Peaceful Resolution

Muzaffarabad, The Kashmir Women Alert Forum (KWAF) convened a comprehensive seminar in Muzaffarabad, Azad Kashmir, aptly titled “Kashmir: History and Present Situation and the Solutions.” The event brought together a selection of distinguished speakers to discuss and dissect the long-standing issue of Kashmir and propose potential solutions.

According to a new release by Kashmir Media Service, the seminar’s participants included notable figures who provided their expert insights into the Kashmir conflict. Ms. Madiha Shakil, a lecturer at Azad Jammu and Kashmir University, initiated the discussions, emphasizing the importance of utilizing the freedom of Azad Kashmir in solidarity with occupied Kashmir. Her remarks sparked a profound conversation about the necessity for collective unity in the quest for Kashmiri freedom.

Dr. Sajjad, the Director of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Commission, took attendees on a historical journey, elucidating the intricate backdrop and present circumstances of Kashmir. He firmly advocated for a peaceful dialogue and called for international scrutiny to navigate and potentially resolve the issue. Dr. Abdul Kareem, the Principal of Post Graduate College, emphasized the indispensable role of education in cultivating awareness and fostering compassion concerning the Kashmir narrative. Adding to this discourse, Nadeem Razaq, the Secretary of Education, and Mumtaz Tahir, the Deputy Commissioner of Muzaffarabad, conveyed the criticality of involving the youth and regional administration in the journey towards a fair resolution.

KWAF’s Chairperson, Ms. Samia Raja, distilled the seminar’s essence, spotlighting the instrumental role of women in the Kashmir discourse. She stressed the vital contributions of women in championing peace and vigorously seeking an end to the conflict.

The event’s finale was marked by a robust question-and-answer session, granting attendees the chance to converse directly with the experts. The seminar, in its entirety, served as a testament to the unwavering determination and unity of its participants, all dedicated to the peaceful settlement of the Kashmir quandary.
