Muzaffarabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter organized a significant protest rally in Muzaffarabad against India’s human rights violations and actions in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Led by APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Muhammad Safi, the rally saw participation from political, social, and religious figures, as well as refugees from IIOJK, according to the Kashmir Media Service. The demonstrators condemned India’s actions, such as systematic killings and home demolitions, and urged the United Nations to help resolve the Kashmir dispute.
Ghulam Muhammad Safi addressed the rally, highlighting the repression faced by Kashmiris. He noted the imprisonment of Hurriyat leaders and the harassment of Kashmiri students in India. Safi emphasized the resilience of the Kashmiri people in their quest for freedom.
Participants called on the international community to take notice of the situation in IIOJK. They demanded the release of detained Kashmiris and the right to self-determination for the region.
The rally also responded to recent remarks by Pakistan’s Army Chief, affirming the country’s stance on the Kashmir issue. The participants discussed India’s diplomatic efforts against Pakistan and noted Islamabad’s effective foreign policy.
Notable attendees included Muzaffarabad Commissioner Chaudhry Guftar and several Hurriyat leaders. The event concluded with prayers for Kashmiri martyrs and the liberation of IIOJK.
