Muzaffarabad Hosts Seminar and Photo Exhibition to Celebrate Pakistan’s Defence Day

Muzaffarabad: A seminar and photo exhibition were held in Muzaffarabad to mark Pakistan’s Defence Day, hosted by the Kashmir Women Alert Forum (KWAF). The event featured discussions on the role of faith in the region’s defense efforts and showcased photographic tributes to the armed forces.

According to Kashmir Media Service, KWAF Chairperson Samia Sajid Raja presided over the seminar, with Alyas Awan, father of the late Lt Colonel Asif Ali Awan Shaheed, serving as the special guest. The seminar included speeches from notable academics and leaders, focusing on the theme “Defence of Pakistan: Integral to the Faith of Kashmiris.” A photo exhibition arranged by female students highlighted the deep connection between the Kashmiri populace and the Pakistani military.

Distinguished participants such as senior Hurriyat leader Mushtaq-ul-Islam and several political leaders emphasized the historical and ongoing sacrifices of the Pakistani armed forces in response to challenges on various fronts, particularly from India. The discussions reiterated the sentiment of unity and resilience among the Kashmiris and Pakistanis alike, emphasizing the strategic and emotional bonds that bolster their joint defense aspirations.

The event concluded with tributes to the fallen heroes of Pakistan, affirming the community’s continued support for their military and their collective commitment to national security and prosperity.
