Muzaffarabad Hosts Martyrs’ Conference, Honors Kashmiri Struggle for Freedom


Muzaffarabad: A significant gathering in Bagh, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, saw the convening of the Martyrs’ Conference, organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Pir Panjal Freedom Movement (PPFM). The event was marked by profound tributes to those who have sacrificed their lives in the Kashmiri struggle for independence from Indian rule.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the conference was presided over by PPFM Vice Chairman Qazi Imran, with Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Convener of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, serving as the special guest. In his passionate address, Safi reaffirmed the commitment to continuing the mission of the martyrs, emphasizing the ultimate goal of achieving freedom. He also called on refugees to observe the Black Day on October 27, marking opposition to Indian occupation.



Other speakers at the event echoed the sentiment of unwavering resolve in the pursuit of independence, vowing to continue the struggle until it reaches a successful resolution. The conference attendees included prominent Hurriyat leaders and supporters, who collectively voiced their commitment to the cause.



Qazi Imran expressed gratitude to all participants for their dedication and unity in the face of adversity, stating, “We are the heirs of the martyrs of Jammu and Kashmir and will continue their struggle till taking it to its logical conclusion.”



The conference not only served as a platform for reiteration of the Kashmiri commitment to self-determination but also as a communal remembrance of the lives lost in the long-standing conflict. The presence of various leaders and community members underscored the collective nature of their struggle and the shared vision for the future of Kashmir.
