Muzaffarabad Event Pays Tribute to Burhan Wani, Calls for Continued Struggle

Muzaffarabad: The Shuhada Foundation of Jammu and Kashmir held a solemn ceremony in Muzaffarabad to mark the 8th martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Muzaffar Wani and his associates, reaffirming their dedication to the Kashmiri freedom struggle.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the event, led by Saifullah Khalid, brought together a significant number of participants who honored the memory of Wani and his fellow martyrs. Speakers at the ceremony praised Wani’s commitment to the Kashmiri cause and highlighted his role in motivating the youth towards resistance against Indian rule.

The discourse at the ceremony strongly criticized Indian policies in Kashmir and underscored the perceived failure of diplomatic efforts in favor of a more assertive approach. Calls were made for Pakistan to continue its support for the Kashmiri mujahideen, citing Wani’s legacy as the guiding light for the freedom movement.

The event also served as a platform to denounce recent violent incidents in Kashmir, particularly pointing to the loss of young lives in Kulgam. The gathering concluded with a collective funeral prayer in absentia for these youths, signaling a unified commitment to their cause. Among the notable speakers were leaders from various political and social organizations within Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
