Muslim Youth Fatally Attacked in Uttar Pradesh, Incident Sparks Outrage

Lucknow, Mehdi Hasan, a Muslim youth, was fatally attacked in the Bharatiya Janata Party-governed state of Uttar Pradesh, India, in an incident that has raised serious concerns over communal violence.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the assault occurred in Noida city’s Gram Barola area, Sector 49. The brutal attack was brought to public attention after activist Kashif Arsalan shared CCTV footage on a social networking platform. The video disturbingly shows two individuals, later identified as Anuj and Nitin, assaulting Hasan with a knife. In a shocking turn of events, they also tied a rope around his leg and dragged him through the village.

The brutality of the attack continued until Mehdi Hasan succumbed to his injuries. This violent act has sent shockwaves throughout the community and has raised alarming questions about the safety and security of minority groups in the area.

Despite the severity of the incident, the Uttar Pradesh police have not made any arrests, leading to increased unease and calls for justice in the state. The lack of immediate police action in response to such a grave crime has intensified concerns about the treatment of Muslim individuals in Uttar Pradesh.
