Muslim Ummah greeted on Eid-ul-Azha

Islamabad, July 20, 2021 (PPI-OT):Hurriyat AJK leaders, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar and Altaf Hussain Wani, have felicitated the Muslim Ummah and the Muslims of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir on the sacred occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

The Acting Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, in a statement issued in Islamabad appealed to the Kashmiris to maintain austerity and the high spirits of the real Islamic values while celebrating the religious festivals. He said, “Such festive occasions provided us a unique opportunity to share the moments of joy with the destitute and needy brethren of our society especially the ones who are facing the tough times under Indian subjugation”.

The DFP leader said, “On one hand, we have economically less privileged segment of society while on the other a large number of people, who have lost their livelihood and homes due to the occupation authorities’ oppressive policies, are in dire need of financial support.”

Mehmood Ahmed Saghar urged the philanthropists and donors to contribute generously for the uplift of the victims of Indian state oppression. He appealed them not to forget the homeless people, the family members of martyrs, orphans and incarcerated political activists who have been languishing in jails for the past several years.

Senior Vice Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir National Front, Altaf Hussain Wani, in his Eid message while extending his heartfelt greeting to the Muslim Ummah appealed the Kashmiri people to celebrate Eid with austerity and take care of less privileged segment of the society. He said the true spirit of Eid-ul-Azha lies in sharing and caring for the less privileged and poor who deserve to be remembered and supported on this auspicious occasion.

Referring to the victims of Indian state terrorism in IIOJK, he said there are hundreds and thousands of orphans, families of martyrs and jailed Hurriyat activists, who really deserve to be supported during these testing times.

He said Eid-ul-Azha, which gives us the concept the concept of sharing and caring, also reminds us of our political, moral and religious obligations towards the national cause for which hundreds and thousands of Kashmiris have laid down their lives.
