Jaipur: A 22-year-old Muslim student was reportedly abducted and beaten to death by a Hindutva-affiliated group in Rajasthan’s Jhunjhunu district.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the student, identified as Zahid, was taken from his home and assaulted after being lured into a camper van. Zahid, who was preparing for competitive exams, succumbed to his injuries at a hospital in Jaipur.
Tensions have escalated in Mukundgarh’s Dhani village, Zahid’s hometown, as his family has refused to accept his body until those responsible for his death are apprehended.
Former minister Rajendra Singh Gudha, who joined the family’s protest, stated that Zahid was targeted solely due to his Muslim identity. Gudha criticized the administration for its handling of the case, including the delay in filing an FIR and the manner in which the postmortem and funeral were conducted.
Gudha has pledged to fight for justice for Zahid and his family, vowing to ensure accountability and transparency in the investigation.
