Gandhinagar: In a concerning incident, a Muslim man was allegedly set ablaze by cow vigilantes in Gujarat, India, as reported by Kashmir Media Service. The victim, Mohammad Bhura Habibullah, had left his home to transport goods along with his associate, Syed Mohammad Rafiq, around 10 AM.
The following morning, Habibullah’s charred remains were discovered in a burnt vehicle near the Narmada Canal in the Sanjet area of Gandhinagar district. Rafiq was found nearby in a severely critical condition.
The family of Habibullah has accused the Hindutva group, Bajrang Dal, of perpetrating the attack, claiming that the group had been issuing threats to the victims for the past five days.
Local police, however, are treating the case as a road accident. Inspector S.R. Mucchal stated, “The driver must have lost control of the vehicle which then collided with an object and caught fire.”
The incident has raised serious concerns, with calls for a thorough investigation into the claims and circumstances surrounding the death.
