Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, a 25-year-old Muslim man lost his life after an altercation resulting from a bike accident during Dussehra celebrations escalated into a violent assault by a Hindu group.
According to a news release by Kashmir Media Service, the deceased, identified as Irshad Mohammad, faced the tragic incident near Luhari village, as cited by the Indian Express.
The accident transpired around 7:30pm on Tuesday when Mohammad was en route back to Luhari village on his motorcycle. During his journey, he accidentally collided with an individual who was attending the Dussehra festivities at the Ramlila ground on the periphery of the village with his acquaintances, police records indicate.
In the wake of the accident, a disagreement erupted which rapidly intensified. Mohammad was set upon by a number of individuals. Despite being rapidly transported to a neighboring medical facility, he succumbed to his injuries, as declared by the medical practitioners, the police relayed.
