Muslim man arrested in Chhattisgarh for hoisting Pakistan’s flag at home

Raigarh, October 27, 2022 (PPI-OT): The police have arrested a Muslim man for hoisting Pakistan’s national flag at his house in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh. An official said that the police arrested 52-year-old Mushtaq Khan on Tuesday evening for unfurling Pakistani flag atop his house in Atal Chowk area of Saria town in Sarangarh-Bhilaigarh district of the state. He said that a police team later removed the flag and seized it. On the other hand, some local leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party staged a protest outside the Saria police station on Tuesday. The protesters demanded that the man be booked on the charge of sedition.
