ISLAMABAD, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Human Rights and Women Empowerment, Mushaal Hussein Mullick, emphasized the importance of cultivating interfaith harmony and religious unity. She expressed that this could be pivotal in peacefully resolving longstanding conflicts like those in Kashmir and Palestine. In her dialogue, Mullick also asserted that true fascism is unaffiliated with any religion.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during her conversation with cathedral priest Christian Kringstad Kielland at a church in Oslo, Norway, Mullick reiterated Pakistan and Kashmir’s commitment to fostering interfaith harmony. She stressed the belief that religion should not be a tool for exploitation. Drawing attention to the ongoing violence in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and the Gaza crisis, she highlighted the global desire for peace, noting that a vast majority of people worldwide advocate for peace over war.
She also subtly alluded to the increasing religious intolerance under the Hindutva mindset in India. To combat the rise of terrorism and burgeoning fascist sentiments worldwide, she called upon religious leaders, including bishops and Islamic scholars, to play a proactive role in promoting peace and unity.
