Rawalpindi: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organisation, has denounced ongoing human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and Palestine, calling for international intervention.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during her visit to the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce, Mushaal, who is married to the imprisoned JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik, criticized the actions of India’s government and Israel. She stressed the human rights abuses experienced by people in the occupied territories of Kashmir and Palestine.
Mushaal participated in a protest walk organized by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce, which included the Chamber’s President, business community members, and civil society activists. The protest aimed to raise awareness of the Indian government’s actions in IIOJK and express solidarity with Palestinians. Key figures such as Sohail Altaf, Prof. Zafar Sindhu, and Dr. Owais Malik were present.
She commended the business community, particularly the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce, for their support of the Kashmiri struggle for self-determination. Mushaal announced plans to establish a symbolic Pakistan Kashmir Chamber of Commerce to highlight the challenges faced by Kashmiri entrepreneurs both locally and globally, emphasizing economic empowerment as crucial.
Mushaal criticized global powers and human rights organizations for their inaction regarding the treatment and war crimes in IIOJK and Palestine. She described the situation in Kashmir as dire, with occupation forces allegedly given free rein to commit violence.
In her concluding remarks, Mushaal called on the international community to push the Indian and Israeli governments to allow Kashmiris and Palestinians to decide their own futures.
