Mushaal Hussein Mullick Calls for Global Intervention in Kashmir Dispute

Islamabad: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, the wife of Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik, has called on global powers to fulfill their commitments to the Kashmiri people by resolving the longstanding Kashmir dispute in accordance with United Nations resolutions.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mullick criticized the UN for its failure to conduct a free and fair plebiscite in Kashmir over the past 77 years, leaving the region vulnerable to violence from Indian forces. She emphasized that a UN-supervised plebiscite remains the only viable solution to the conflict, warning that anything less would perpetuate injustice for the Kashmiri people and destabilize peace in South Asia.

Mullick urged the UN to expedite the promised plebiscite to alleviate the suffering of Kashmiris and avert a potential war between Pakistan and India. She highlighted the ongoing efforts by occupation forces to change the demographic composition of Kashmir through ethnic cleansing, while commending the resilience of Kashmiris in maintaining their resistance. Mullick also reminded the UN of its numerous resolutions on the Kashmir conflict, questioning the international community’s reluctance to uphold these commitments.

She appealed to the global community to intervene and stop what she described as the ongoing genocide of Kashmiris, urging them to pressure India into resolving the dispute in line with UN resolutions.
