Islamabad, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Human Rights and Women Empowerment, Mushaal Hussein Mullick, has urged international bodies to impose economic and defense sanctions on India for its alleged involvement in state terrorism in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). In an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan’s News and Current Affairs Channel, she highlighted the urgent need for global intervention in the region.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Mullick stated that major countries like the USA and Canada have acknowledged India’s targeting of innocent people in IIOJK. She criticized the Modi administration for issuing domiciles to RSS and Hindutva supporters, an act she claims is in clear violation of international law. The Special Assistant emphasized the responsibility of the United Nations to support the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination under UN resolutions.
Mullick expressed concern over the international community’s silence on the human rights violations in IIOJK, pointing out that every family in the region is affected, with rape victims in every home. She highlighted the plight of the Hurriyat leadership in IIOJK, who are facing fabricated cases under draconian laws.
Discussing the situation of jailed Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, Mullick stated that his struggle is for the future generations of IIOJK. She called for the establishment of a Commission of Inquiry to investigate India’s human rights violations in the region and demanded that international observers be allowed access to IIOJK to expose the ground realities.
Mullick also praised the courage of Kashmiri women, describing them as the bravest in the world for standing alongside men in the struggle for self-determination.
This interview underscores the ongoing call for international awareness and action regarding the situation in IIOJK, highlighting the alleged human rights abuses and the need for global intervention.
