Mushaal Hussein Mullick Advocates for International Ban on BJP-Linked Extremist Groups

Islamabad: Mushaal Hussein Mullick, spouse of incarcerated Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik, has urged the international community to designate BJP-affiliated Hindu extremist groups like RSS and HSS (Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh) as terrorist organizations to foster peace.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in a comprehensive interview with Radio Pakistan’s News and Current Affairs channel, Mullick highlighted the trans-national nature of these groups and their role in perpetuating violence. She warned that without addressing such groups, global peace would remain unattainable.

Mullick emphasized the detrimental impact of Indian policies in Jammu and Kashmir, pointing out the widespread criticism within India against the Modi administration’s tactics. Since August 5, 2019, she noted, the Indian government has exerted increased control over Kashmiri lands and significant cultural sites, severely affecting local industries including handicrafts, tourism, and agriculture due to prolonged curfews.

She also discussed the social injustices being inflicted upon Kashmiris, such as the deprivation of educational and employment opportunities through aggressive settler policies. Mullick asserted that any dialogue regarding the Kashmir dispute should be led by the Hurriyat leadership, cautioning that ignoring these democratic voices might lead to armed resistance.

Furthermore, Mullick called on Pakistan to intensify diplomatic efforts with neighboring countries to pressure India to cease its oppressive measures in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
