Mushaal denounces custodial killing of Hurriyat leader

Islamabad, October 11, 2022 (PPI-OT):The Chairperson of Peace and Culture Organization (PCO) Mushaal Hussein Mullick has denounced in strong terms the demise of senior Hurriyat leader Altaf Ahmad Shah in Indian illegal detention. Mushaal Hussein Mulick in a statement today said that Altaf Ahmad Shah was suffering from renal cancer but Indian fascist government denied him medical facilities in the jail. She castigated the Indian authorities for using brutal tactics to suppress the dissenting voices in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

She said Altaf Shah had been illegally detained in Delhi’s notorious Tihar Jail since 2017 for raising voice for the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination. She said that Modi-led Hindutva regime used all brutal tactics to muzzle Altaf Shah’s voice but failed in its nefarious designs. Mushaal, who is wife of illegally detained senior Hurriyat leader Yasin Malik, maintained that Altaf Shah was a great hero of Kashmiri people who preferred death but refused to bow down before the oppressor India. She appealed to the UN Chief and world human rights organizations to impress upon India to release all illegally detained Kashmiris and resolve the lingering Kashmir dispute as per the UN resolutions and aspirations of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
