Mushaal Calls for Media Intervention in Highlighting IIOJK Human Rights Violations

Islamabad, Mushaal Hussein Mullick, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Human Rights and Women Empowerment, has underscored the urgency of addressing the Kashmir dispute for regional peace. During a ceremony in Islamabad on Friday, she emphasized the critical situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), where she accused the Indian BJP-RSS regime of committing atrocities against the Kashmiri people.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Mullick highlighted the Indian government’s alleged involvement in the genocide of innocent Kashmiris and the detention of the entire Hurriyat leadership. She asserted that the issue of Kashmir is receiving attention at various international platforms and reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity with the Kashmiri people in their pursuit of self-determination.

Furthermore, Mullick appealed to the media to take an active role in bringing global attention to the human rights violations in IIOJK. She stressed the importance of media coverage in raising awareness and garnering international support for the Kashmiri cause.

Her statements reflect Pakistan’s ongoing concern about the situation in Kashmir and its commitment to seeking a peaceful resolution. The call for media intervention underlines the role of journalism in influencing international discourse and policy-making, especially in conflict zones like Kashmir.

The ceremony concluded with a resolve to continue advocating for the rights of Kashmiris on both national and international fronts.
