Musa Khel Tribal Jirga Focuses on Peace and Development under Deputy Commissioner’s Leadership

Musa Khel: In a significant meeting aimed at addressing law and order and advancing development, a tribal jirga was convened under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Abdul Hameed Zahri. The session witnessed the participation of key military and police figures, including Commandant Zhob Militia Brigadier Syed Shuja, Wing Commander Colonel Tanzil, Captain 67 Wing Osama, and Superintendent of Police Ayub Achakzai, alongside local dignitaries.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the jirga, which took place yesterday, began with prayers for the martyrs of a recent tragic incident in Union Council Rara Sham of Tehsil Kangri. The assembly extensively discussed the current peace and order situation and deliberated on development projects in the region. Brigadier Syed Shuja, addressing the gathering, emphasized the critical connection between peace, order, and development. He highlighted the importance of religious harmony and mutual respect in fostering a violence-free society, stating that such a society is essential for the region’s growth.

Brigadier Shuja asserted the role of community participation in maintaining peace, underscoring that continuous efforts are necessary to counter terrorism and institutional corruption to safeguard the nation’s economic stability. He called for a collective national resolve to combat and defeat terrorist activities that threaten economic and societal harm.

The jirga was also a platform for advocating the core teachings of Islam related to peace and humanity. Brigadier Shuja’s message was clear: to establish enduring peace and order, the community must embrace sacrifice and uphold the principles of justice and mutual respect.

This meeting marks a pivotal step towards consolidating peace efforts in Musa Khel, with a strong emphasis on addressing internal differences through dialogue and strengthening institutional frameworks to support economic and social development.
