Murder of Pakistani Doctor in US Decried as “Senseless Act of Violence” by Ambassador Masood

Washington DC, Dr. Talat Jehan Khan’s tragic death, a Pakistani doctor who was fatally stabbed in Conroe, a city north of Houston, has been vehemently condemned by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Masood Khan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Ambassador expressed his deepest condolences to the grieving family, highlighting the arrest of the alleged perpetrator, currently under police investigation. He emphasized that the Embassy of Pakistan in Washington D.C. and the Consulate General in Houston are actively gathering facts from both the affected family and pertinent authorities.

Ambassador Masood Khan labeled the incident as both “shocking” and a “senseless act of violence.” Remembering Dr. Talat Jehan Khan, he acknowledged her as a devoted healthcare professional and a cherished figure within the Pakistani American community. He extended his condolences to the broader Pakistani American community and reached out to Dr. Arshad Rehan, President of the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America, to convey his profound sorrow.

Assurances were provided to the bereaved family that they would receive all necessary support from both the Embassy and the Consulate in Houston to finalize the last rites of the departed. The Consul General of Pakistan in Houston is scheduled to attend the funeral on Wednesday.
