New York: Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Munir Akram, hosted a lunch for the Permanent Representatives of the Elected-10 (E-10) members of the UN Security Council at Pakistan House in New York. The event was attended by United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Secretary-General took the opportunity to brief the E-10 members on pressing global issues, including the future of peacekeeping operations and the current situation in Afghanistan.
Following the briefing, the representatives engaged in a discussion, exchanging views on the topics presented by the Secretary-General. The exchange aimed to foster a deeper understanding and collaborative approach to these significant issues.
