Multan Sees Creation of New Teaching Positions Amid Educational Reforms

Multan: The Higher Education Department of the Punjab Government has announced the creation of four new teaching posts across different colleges in Multan, marking a significant move in bolstering academic resources in the region. These positions, established on a temporary basis, have been introduced to enhance educational standards and address faculty shortages.

According to Higher Education Department – Government of Punjab, the newly created positions include one Assistant Professor of Sociology at Govt. Alamdar Hussain Islamia Graduate College, one Assistant Professor of Psychology at Govt. Graduate College, Township, Lahore, and two posts of Professors of Zoology at Govt. Graduate College of Science, near PTCL exchange chungi No.6, Bosan road, Multan. This initiative follows the withdrawal of equivalent positions from the now-defunct Emerson University, Multan, aligning with efforts to redistribute educational resources more effectively across active institutions.

The funding for these positions will be sourced from the existing budget of the Higher Education Department under specific grants, ensuring compliance with all legal and procedural formalities. This strategic move is expected to not only fill critical faculty gaps but also enhance the educational offerings available to students in Multan and surrounding areas.
