Multan Chairman of Kashmir Committee Denounces Human Rights Abuses in IIOJ and K

Multan: Rana Qasim Noon, the Chairman of the Kashmir Committee, condemned the ongoing human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ and K) during a press conference on Wednesday, urging global attention to the situation.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Noon, who spoke at the Multan Press Club, highlighted the critical need for international intervention in IIOJ and K, where he claims Indian forces are committing severe human rights abuses. “Pakistan remains steadfast in its support of the Kashmiri people, providing moral, diplomatic, and comprehensive backing,” Noon asserted.

He criticized the current elections in IIOJ and K as a sham that disrespects the will of the people, describing them as “leaderless” and imposed by the Indian military. Noon also touched upon the distressing issue of illegal detentions, stating that thousands of young Kashmiri men and women are unjustly held in jails, a gross violation of the United Nations Charter.

Drawing parallels between Kashmir and Gaza, Noon emphasized the similarity in their struggles for self-determination and freedom. He insisted that the division of the subcontinent will remain unresolved until the Kashmir issue is settled, reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to integrating Kashmir.
