Lahore, July 27, 2023 (PPI-OT): Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has said that foolproof arrangements have been made throughout Punjab to maintain public order during Muharram. Geo-tagging of the processions and assemblies has been done. All the processions and assemblies are being monitored by CCTV cameras. They are trying their best to ensure peace and order during Muharram. Mobile service will be stopped where necessary.

All concerned authorities including Chief Secretary and IG are monitoring the security situation and all institutions are alert. Provincial ministers, administrative officers and police officials are in the field and will continue to be in the field. will Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi have visited Khema Sadat, Lyton Road and Taxili Gate late at night and reviewed the security arrangements for the meetings and processions in connection with Muharram and inspected the routes. Chief Secretary, Inspector General of Police, CCPO Lahore, Additional Chief Secretary Interior. Commissioner Lahore Division, DIG Operations and Deputy Commissioner were also present on this occasion.
