Islamabad, Ms. Rubina Khalid has officially assumed her new role as the Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), promising to champion transparency and empowerment for marginalized communities.
According to Press Information Department, in her inaugural address, Ms. Khalid paid homage to Shaheed Mohterma Benazir Bhutto, whose legacy the program embodies. She vowed to enhance the program’s effectiveness by focusing on education and economic opportunities to empower beneficiaries. Ms. Khalid stressed the importance of maintaining the highest standards of integrity, ensuring that aid reaches those most in need, such as orphans and widows.
The ceremony included a briefing on BISP’s core initiatives and recent projects, where Ms. Khalid expressed her determination to improve skill development and uphold dignity in aid distribution.
