MQM Leaders Discuss Karachi Development and Utility Issues with Sindh Governor

Karachi: In a pivotal meeting at the Governor House, senior leaders from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Central Committee, including Dr. Farooq Sattar, Syed Mustafa Kamal, and Anees Qaim Khani, engaged with Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori to address key issues affecting Karachi, particularly focusing on federal support for ongoing development projects and persistent utility challenges.

According to Sindh Governor House, the discussions covered a range of topics crucial to the welfare of Karachi’s residents, notably the need for enhanced federal cooperation on development initiatives, the difficulties faced by local traders, rampant unannounced load shedding, and prevalent complaints of electricity over-billing. Governor Tesori affirmed the federal government’s commitment to supporting Karachi’s development, especially in maintaining and upgrading the city’s infrastructure.

He pledged to communicate with K Electric authorities to address the concerns about power supply and billing issues raised during the meeting. Dr. Farooq Sattar highlighted the hardships faced by the citizens due to inadequate basic services, while Syed Mustafa Kamal emphasized the growing grievances regarding the inconsistent electricity supply and billing practices.
