Motorway Police to Launch Automatic Speed Identification System in Kallar Kahar

Lahore: The Motorway Police Department has announced plans to implement an Automatic Speed Identification RIFD System for vehicles traveling through the Kallar Kahar Salt Range. The initiative is aimed at improving traffic management and safety in the region.

Inspector General Motorway Police, Rifat Mukhtar Raja, revealed the development during a meeting with transporters in Lahore. He stated that the new system would be established using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology.

The initiative is part of broader efforts by the Motorway Police to enhance traffic regulation and safety measures. The deployment of the RIFD system is expected to facilitate more efficient monitoring of vehicle speeds in the area.

Additionally, Inspector General Raja addressed concerns regarding overloading and overcharging of commuters, especially during the Eid period. He emphasized that such practices would not be tolerated and assured that measures would be taken to address the issues faced by transporters.
