Mumbai: A mosque in Maharashtra’s Kolhapur district was completely destroyed in an attack by Hindutva groups, triggering widespread condemnation and protests among the local Muslim community.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident at Raza Jamia Masjid involved the desecration of the Holy Quran and significant damage to surrounding homes and businesses, resulting in injuries to over 40 individuals. The violence has drawn sharp criticism from community leaders and activists, including Asaduddin Owaisi, president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, who has called for stern action against those responsible. The events have intensified concerns about rising communal tensions and the safety of religious minorities in the area.
