Montreal Hosts Canada’s Largest Food Exhibition with International Participants


Ottawa, Canada’s largest food exhibition opened today in Montreal, featuring over 800 exhibitors from 44 countries and attracting more than 21,000 professional visitors from across the globe. The event, which includes a significant presence from Pakistan, aims to enhance bilateral trade and showcase diverse food products under one roof.



According to Press Information Department, the Pakistan pavilion was inaugurated by Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Canada, Mr. Zaheer A. Janjua. The pavilion is displaying a variety of Pakistani products such as rice, fruit, and pink salt, and has drawn more than 20 participants from 10 different companies. This exhibition, known as SIAL Canada, stands out as the only national trade show that offers a comprehensive range of food products in one venue.



High Commissioner Janjua remarked on the potential for this event to increase bilateral trade between Canada and Pakistan. He emphasized the importance of the exhibition in introducing Canadian and international visitors to the rich and diverse food industry of Pakistan.



The exhibition, which runs for three days, provides a unique platform for professionals from the food industry to network, share ideas, and explore business opportunities with international markets.
