Lahore, April 20, 2023 (PPI-OT): Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi’s important initiative for the convenience of pilgrims coming to Data Darbar, Mohsin Naqvi has ordered to make the parking lot of Data Darbar closed for 13 years functional immediately. A principled decision has also been taken to make the traffic coming from Karbala Game Shah Mor to Data Darbar one-way. Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has said that the closed car parking is being opened since 2010 for the convenience of pilgrims and to keep the traffic flowing. Mohsin Naqvi has asked for a plan for the expansion and redesigning of the shrine.

A meeting was held in the chief minister’s office under the chairmanship of caretaker chief minister Mohsin Naqvi regarding the parking of Data Dar and provision of facilities for pilgrims. It was stated in the briefing that only small vehicles of visitors will be allowed to enter the Data Darbar parking lot, while trucks and trucks will not be able to enter the parking lot. The best security is to make the parking security fool proof. The services of the company will be borrowed.

A monitoring system will be developed through the latest security and surveillance equipment in the parking lot. Caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed to implement the plan as soon as possible. Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary Interior, Inspector General Police, CCP Olahor, Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner Lahore, Secretary Awqaf, NESPOC officers and related officials participated in the meeting.
