Islamabad: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has raised concerns over escalating tensions in South Asia, attributing it to India’s handling of the Kashmir dispute and the rhetoric of the Bharatiya Janata Party against Pakistan.
In a statement issued from Srinagar, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas remarked that the policies of the Modi government have pushed the region towards a potential catastrophe. He highlighted that since 1947, India’s actions have consistently disrupted peace efforts in the subcontinent.
Minhas accused New Delhi of obstructing the peaceful resolution of the Kashmir issue for decades, contributing to the region’s instability. He emphasized that threats to regional peace have increased significantly under Modi’s administration.
Pakistan, in contrast, has been portrayed as a proponent of peace in the region. The spokesman noted that Islamabad has consistently voiced concerns to the international community about India’s destabilizing role.
The APHC has urged global powers to address what it describes as Modi’s warmongering tendencies. The statement warned that without intervention, there is a risk of a broader conflict, citing India’s approach as a major threat to regional stability.
