Srinagar, December 23, 2022 (PPI-OT):Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President, Mehbooba Mufti has said that harsh tactics employed by the Narendra Modi-led fascist Indian regime in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) can’t change the ground situation in the territory. Mehbooba Mufti said this while talking to reporters in Chadoora area of Budgam. She said, “The idea of separatism (Azadi) needs to be addressed instead of resorting to callous and harsh measures”, adding “This will yield nothing. The ground reality cannot be changed by harsh tactics employed by BJP”.
“The Govt is sealing Jama’at-e-Islami run schools and its properties who were imparting qualitative education to poor children. But BJP having a communal mind-set want to cool its inner with these measures”, Mehbooba said. The PDP chief further said, if the BJP-led Indian government is beating drums of normalcy, then why religious clerics are being arrested, journalists summoned, employees kicked out from services, politicians and businessmen being targeted by probe agencies like NIA (National) Investigation Agency] and ED [Enforcement Directorate] in the occupied Terriotry. She maintained the way New Delhi is treating the Kashmiri people, it seems the BJP government is at war with them and treats them as enemies.
Regarding the Kashmiri Pandits, Mehbooba Mufti said they shouldn’t have been asked to stay in the Kashmir Valley forcibly as the community has suffered immensely owing to the unending uncertain situation in IIOJK. She said that the BJP was taking advantage of the Pandits’ sufferings, adding the saffron party has no sympathy towards them and was using the community only for political gains.
