Modi regime targets Satya Pal Malik, cronies for Pulwama incident revelations

New Delhi, May 17, 2023 (PPI-OT): In retaliation to the startling revelations made by former Governor of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir Satya Pal Malik about 2019 Pulwama incident, Narendra Modi-led Indian government has started targeting Malik and his cronies on one pretext or another. In the latest such move, the regime has galvanized Central Bureau of Investigation to raid Malik’s aides in a so-called Kashmir Power Project Corruption case. Six people across 12 locations in Rajasthan and Delhi were raided by the Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday in connection with the Kiru Hydroelectric Project. The alleged corruption in the awarding of the contract in the case surfaced after Satya Pal Malik spoke about it. But, interestingly, all six people raided by the CBI, seem connected to the former governor.

Sunak Bali, former press secretary to governor Malik in IIOJK was raided in Delhi. His premises in south Delhi’s Defence Colony and West End were raided. As per a top CBI officer, Bali is the main suspect in the case of misappropriation of funds. Malik, however, defended his former aide. “It is unfortunate that the CBI is harassing the complainant in this case. He was my press advisor in J and K without any government salary,” Malik told the media. Congress leader and senior lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi too came out in his support.

The five others raided are also being linked to Satya Pal Malik by probe officials. The noose has been tightened around former IIOJK Governor Satya Pal Malik after he revealed that he informed the Modi government about the security lapse in the Pulwama attack; however, PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah asked him to shut his mouth, apparently to shift the blame on Pakistan.
