Srinagar, July 27, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that Modi-led Indian fascist regime has worked out a long-term policy to kill the Kashmiri people one by one to change the demography of the disputed territory.
APHC Working Vice Chairman Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar in a statement issued in Srinagar termed the prevailing situation as highly volatile in the occupied territory where fundamental rights of the people are being trampled at the hands of around one million Indian occupation forces. He strongly condemned the unabated cordon and search operations by the Indian forces even during the sacred days of Eid ul Azha and killing of the people with impunity.
The APHC leader while paying rich tributes to the martyrs of Sopore, Bandipora, Kulgam and other areas during the last week’s festival days said that it is very much deplorable that in modern times India is using the same military power as a method of suppression and oppression in Kashmir which was used during the gone days of uncivilised periods of human history.
Referring to the glorious past of Kashmir’s resistance movement since 1947, the Hurriyat leader said India has tried all its possible methods to suppress the freedom sentiments of the people of Kashmir but it has utterly failed in its nefarious designs. He said the infernal situation created by the presence of one million Indian occupation forces warrants immediate intervention by the UN chief, Antonio Guterres to stop genocide and gross violation of human rights in the territory and arrange a free and fair plebiscite to ascertain the wishes and aspirations of the people of Kashmir.
He expressed his gratitude to the freedom-loving people of Kashmir for observing shutdown as a mark of peaceful protest against the visit of the President of India as Supreme Commander of its armed forces engaged in the widespread killings of the Kashmiris for their legitimate demand for right to self-determination.
Ghulam Ahmad Gulzar said that the people of Kashmir have time and again displayed their strong resistance against Indian aggression and have rendered exemplary sacrifices, in terms of human lives, honour and property. The freedom loving people of Kashmir cannot be deterred by military force in achieving their inalienable right to self-determination, he added.
Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement leaders Farida Behnji, Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani, Press Secretary Abdul Majeed Mir and Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League(JKPL) in their statements expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of the Ghulam Qadir Kanue, father of martyred commander Sajjad Kinnu in Islamabad town. A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League led visited the family of the residence of the deceased and expressed sympathies with the bereaved family.
