Modi regime has destroyed economy of Kashmiris: APHC leaders 

Srinagar, December 19, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has said that the fascist Modi regime has destroyed the economy of the occupied territory and deepened enslavement of its people through brutal laws and regulations. APHC leaders Bilal Ahmed Siddiqi, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Zamrooda Habib, Yasmeen Raja, Dr Musaib and Maulana Sajid Nadvi appealed to the United Nations to put pressure on India to stop atrocities, harassment and seizing properties of people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

They added that the new anti-Kashmir policies are adversely impacting the Kashmiris’ basic legal, social and political rights. The leaders condemned the inhuman treatment meted out to the illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders, youth and activists by the Indian communal jail authorities. The political detainees representing the freedom sentiments of the people of Kashmir have dedicated their lives and honour for the sacred cause of freedom from Indian subjugation.

They urged the UN to impress upon India to release all political prisoners including APHC Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Aasiya Andrabi, Fehmeeda Sofi, Naheeda Nasreen, Ayaz Akbar, Shahid-ul-Islam, Merajuddin Kalwal, Peer Saifullah, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Khurram Pervaiz, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani, Shirief Sartaj, Dr Hameed Fayaz, Maulana Abdul Majid Dar, Maulana Mushtaq Veeri, Abdul Rashid Doowoodi, Maulana Abdul Wahid Kishtwari, Muhammad Yousuf Mir, Mohammad Rafiq Gania, Showket Hakeem, Mohammad Hayat Bhat, Mehrjudin Nanda, Assadullah Parrey, Noor Muhammad Fayaz, Muhammad Yousuf Fallahi Tariq Ahmed Dar, Dr Shafi Shariati, Dr Muhammad Qasim Fakhtooand Ghulam Qadir Butt have rendered valuable sacrifices for the ongoing resistance movement.

The Kashmiri people pay homage and tributes to the invincible resolve and strong commitment of these prisoners of conscience who despite Indian ruthless and inhuman behaviour feel proud of their sacred mission of freedom, they added. They urged the United Nations Human Rights Council and other international human rights Organisations including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and International Committee of Red Cross to take cognizance of the plight of the Kashmiri prisoners and play their role in settling the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations Security Council resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people as the situation in IIOJK had become very serious where systematic human rights violations, injustice continued.
