Srinagar, May 01, 2023 (PPI-OT):The Indian government blocked 14 messenger mobile applications in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to strip common Kashmiris of right to communicate with each other. The apps include Crypviser, Enigma, Safeswiss, Wickrme, Mediafire, Briar, BChat, Nandbox, Conion, IMO, Element, Second line, Zangi, Threema among others were blocked by Indian government on the recommendations of the Indian army, intelligence and investigation agencies.
These apps are being used by the common people in IIOJK to communicate each other the update situations of the territory. A senior intelligence official told the media that these apps were found to be anti-India. These apps have been blocked under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000, the official added.
