Misbah Khar Engages in Bilateral Talks with Uzbek Senate Chairwoman on Women’s Empowerment


Bukhara, Uzbekistan: Advisor to the Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Ms. Misbah Khar, engaged in discussions with Ms. Kozikhonova Orzigul Muydinovna, Chairwoman of the Senate Committee on Youth, Women, Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan, amid the Second Asian Women’s Forum in Bukhara, Uzbekistan. The meeting centered on bolstering women empowerment, parliamentary cooperation, and cultural linkages between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.



According to Senate of Pakistan, both representatives focused on the importance of strengthening institutional collaboration between women parliamentarians and promoting inclusive policies aimed at social and economic development. Ms. Khar emphasized the historical and cultural ties between the two nations and the potential for expanding people-to-people contacts and parliamentary exchanges. She acknowledged Uzbekistan’s initiatives in promoting women’s participation in leadership, governance, and public policy.



The Uzbek delegation expressed interest in enhancing bilateral cooperation through parliamentary diplomacy, cultural exchanges, and joint initiatives for youth and women development. Both parties reiterated their commitment to strengthening Pakistan-Uzbekistan relations and advancing cooperation on regional and international parliamentary platforms.
