Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Visits Sufi Shrine and Engages in Spiritual Dialogue in New Delhi


Srinagar: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, a senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and chief cleric in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, made a visit to the Dargah of Hazrat Nizam-ud-Din Auliya in New Delhi. During his visit, he participated in Fatiha prayers at the shrine of the Sufi saint.



According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, the Mirwaiz was welcomed by Syed Anis Nizami, the Sajada Nasheen and caretaker of the Dargah, along with others who demonstrated their respect for the spiritual leader.



Following his visit to the Dargah, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq held a meeting with Moulana Saad Syed Kandhlavi, the Ameer of the Tableeghi Jamaat, at the Markaz in Bangla Wali Masjid.



During the meeting, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq commended the Tableeghi Jamaat for their ongoing efforts in Islamic outreach and community reformation.



The dialogue between the two leaders centered on their mutual goal of enhancing spirituality and faith among Muslims through the peaceful dissemination of Islamic teachings.



Both leaders stressed the necessity of unity and cooperation in overcoming the difficulties faced by the Muslim community worldwide.
