Srinagar: On Wednesday, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, a prominent leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, will deliver a discourse on the philosophy of Karbala and the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA) at Astaan Aalia Alam Sahib, Narwara, in Srinagar.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the Anjuman Auqaf announced that this annual event is organized under the guidance of the Anjuman Auqaf of Jamia Masjid, Srinagar, and the Idara Local Auqaf Masjid Sharief Alam Sahib, Narwara. The session is part of a traditional observance that attracts numerous attendees from the local community.
The statement highlighted Mirwaiz’s intention to honor the martyrs of Karbala and emphasized the importance of the gathering in fostering religious education and community solidarity.
