Srinagar, Senior All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the respected religious scholar, Dr. Qari Abdul Latif Butt, and the esteemed Mirwaiz family associate, Merajuddin Khan. Their demise has left a notable void in the community.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Dr. Qari Abdul Latif Butt, a resident of Qazi Yar Zaina Kadal in Srinagar, passed away following a prolonged illness. Merajuddin Khan, from Hazratbal Srinagar and closely associated with the Mirwaiz family, was also mourned for his significant loss to the community.
In his statement, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq reflected on the substantial contributions of both individuals to society, particularly in religious and communal spheres. Their passing marks the loss of prominent figures in the community, each respected for their individual impact and dedication.
