Srinagar: Senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed sorrow over a fire incident at Shah-i-Hamdan Darul Uloom in Tral, Pulwama district, Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir. The fire claimed the life of a 10-year-old boy, Yasir Ahmad, and injured several others, according to Kashmir Media Service.
Mirwaiz described the incident as painful, extending condolences to the family of the deceased child. He prayed for Yasir Ahmad’s eternal peace and offered sympathies to his grieving family. The leader also expressed hope for the swift recovery of those injured.
The fire resulted in the destruction of the Darul Uloom, which Mirwaiz noted is a loss to the community. He highlighted the role of such institutions as centers of learning and stressed the need for support for affected students and management.
Mirwaiz urged the administration to probe the fire’s cause and implement measures to prevent future incidents. He prayed for the safety and protection of people and educational institutions throughout the Kashmir Valley.
