Srinagar: Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, a senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, emphasized the importance of fostering moral and character development among youth, along with promoting unity within the Muslim community.
According to Kashmir Media Service, during his address to the Friday congregation at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar, Mirwaiz highlighted the need for collective efforts to tackle social issues prevalent in Kashmiri society. He advocated for adherence to the core teachings and ethics of Islam, describing it as a religion focused on humanity.
Mirwaiz pointed out that within the Muslim community, there is broad consensus on the majority of doctrinal issues, with only minor and scholarly differences persisting on a few subjects.
