ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has called on prospective Hajj pilgrims for the year 2027 to secure or renew their passports in advance to ensure a smooth application process.
According to Radio Pakistan, spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt stated that the ministry has reached out to the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports to provide necessary facilitation to the pilgrims. In response, the Directorate has instructed passport offices nationwide to assist those intending to participate in Hajj.
The new directives allow pilgrims to renew their passports ahead of the usual eligibility period. Muhammad Umar Butt highlighted the importance of possessing a valid Pakistani passport, which must be valid until at least November 16, 2027, before proceeding with the Hajj application. Applications for Hajj 2027 will not be processed without a valid passport.
